At some point I'll try to write more on this long Thanksgiving weekend, but for now the recap will be short and sweet.
Wednesday night - Pink Pub Crawl with Raquel, Bayrex, Enrique, & Jivan. Our journey: Stir, Tavern on Camac, Bump, then Pure.Thursday - Thanksgiving at Kathleen's place with all of the above people, plus Kathleen of course, Julia, Scott, Christian, and Ivan. Amazing turkey prepared by Jivan, a tour of Kathleen's speakeasy, and singing along to High School Musical (the first) and Sound of Music made it a very special evening. Oh, and the 11 or 12 bottles of wine.
Friday - brunch with Helmut & Patrick at Sabrina's, then Joanlie came down from New York to visit for the weekend. We got tickets for the Wizard of Oz, which Trecia & Patrick also came to, then met up with Bayrex & Jivan at Knock. Scott, Christian, and Brad also showed up. went home with Joanlie for a bit, then got together again with everyone else at Tavern on Camac, which was not as full as I'd thought it would be. Rounding out the night we went to the pizza place across from Woody's where Christian stole a slice of cheese pizza.
Saturday - normal morning get-together with the German conversation / coffee folks, then Joanlie and I tried to get tickets for Hairspray at the Walnut Street Theater, but they were out of all the cheap tickets. We wandered around Chinatown instead, picked up stuff for dinner, and then ordered an entree from Buca di Beppo (see my tweets about that...). Dessert was brownies & ice cream, yum! After dinner, I went to Tria with Bayrex & Jivan, then got somehow convinced to go to Woody's for a little while. Sunday - rained awfully all day, but somehow Joanlie & I made it to Morning Glory for a scrumptious brunch, which we didn't finish until 4pm.
