a face for radio and a voice for print

I spent a good bit of my afternoon today recording myself for a video we're going to use on the homepage of the Jimdo site (the English version)...

Beyond that awful feeling of "is that how I sound to other people?" my semi-perfectionist (who are we kidding? completely perfectionistic) side kicked in and I ended up doing multiple takes of some of the phrases and sentences.

Then the techie side kicked in and I was having fun playing with GarageBand, which is what I used to do all of this. Annoyingly the software my coworker is using to make the video (Camtasia) doesn't accept .aif files, so I had to import everything into iTunes and then convert it into .wav files.

Still, GarageBand was kind of fun enough to convince me to try to stitch together all the clips into one mp3 which you can listen to below. Sorry for the marketing-drone content, maybe I'll experiment with reading books aloud that are in the public domain. Or just for my illiterate former lover turned Nazi guard who is in jail.
